OUR STORY...

SAM'S AUTO SALES, originally Air View Sales, was formed in 1987 and focused primarily on selling pickup trucks, beds, and rust free parts. In 1990, we expanded and became a full retail lot that also offered on-site service and repair to all our customers.  Our business continued to grow, and in 1994 we became SAM'S AUTO SALES, expanding to our current location on US 27 North in Decatur, Indiana. 

We specialize in selling newer model off lease vehicles.  The majority of the vehicles we sell have less than 50,000 miles on them and are within the past 5 model years.  Along with sales, we also do service and repair on all makes and models including Honda, Toyota and Subaru.  We are a Napa Auto Care Center and subscribe to All Data, which allows us the ability to access manufacturer's diagnostic information. 

OUR PROCESS...

Our buyer inspects all the vehicles we purchase at the auctions before he buys them.  This inspection includes an interior check for excessive smoke and burns, an exterior check which involves looking under the hood and trunk for major damage.  Our buyer also walks around each vehicle to look for dents, dings, body damage, and prior paint work.

Once the vehicles arrive at the lot, they are initially test driven and notes are made on the vehicle evaluation form for any items that may need attention.  Then our ASE Certified Mechanic goes through each vehicle and completes the 27 point inspection.  The mechanic replaces and/or repairs items that need to be fixed.  Sam's Auto Sales standard is less than 50% wear on tires and brakes, they are replaced!!

Then our body and interior men fully buff the exterior and shampoo the interior.  We use a polymer sealing compound on the exterior to give it a lasting shine and protect the paint.

After everyone is through with their responsibilities, the vehicle is final test driven and all power components, stereo components and the vehicle's drivability is checked for performance. 

Once all the above items are done, everyone at Sam's Auto Sales hopes we've found all the items that may have needed attention, if we didn't, we give all of our customers an opportunity to take the vehicle to their own mechanic and have their mechanic give it the once over.   All of us working at Sam's Auto Sales are human, and can possibly miss something from time to time.

All our vehicles offered for sale include a Carfax Report with their  Buyback Guarantee.  They also include a 50/50 Limited warranty through Sam's Auto Sales, and everyone has the opportunity to purchase an extended service contract through several providers, if they choose to.

We also give a complimentary membership to the Sam's Auto Sales Car Care Club.  This entitles each individual to a free yearly vehicle inspection, a $20.00 scan tool for that pesty Check Engine Light, and a five percent discount on repairs and service excluding oil changes!
